FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What medium are your paintings painted with? - I work primarily with water-based mediums; acrylic paint, inks, soft pastels and pencils. Additional details are usually listed next to each painting.

 

Are your paintings framed? - It varies. Most works on birch-panel are sold unframed; Many people prefer this more modern look and that means shipping is available at no extra cost. If you like the look of a frame, you can choose it when you have the painting with you - it makes the decision easier! 

 

Paintings on MDF boards usually have a hand-painted wood floating frame. Details of this can be found with each work. Please contact me if you would like individual advice or have further questions - framing can be an art in itself!

 

Which paintings are still available? - You can find all pictures under "Gallery". I update the page as soon as possible. Of course, it can still happen that there is an overlap. Already sold paintings are marked with the note "Sold".

 

My favorite painting has been sold - how can I be sure that I am informed about new works?  - Some paintings sell very quickly. Make sure you are subscribed to my Newsletter to be informed about new works before they are added to the store. But since I try not to bombard you with emails, you can also follow the studio progress on Instagram to see when new work is available.

 

What do I need to do if I want to purchase a painting? - Once you have decided on a painting, email me at renate.willmer@web.de. If you already give your billing / shipping address, I will send you the invoice including the shipping costs as soon as possible by mail. As soon as the invoice amount is received here, the picture will usually be ready for shipping within the next three business days.

 

How much do the pictures cost? - The prices listed on the website apply. For framed images, the floating frame is included in the price. 

Sales tax is not charged, because I am a small businessperson in the sense of § 19 UStG (German law). On my invoices I therefore also show no sales tax.

 

The insured shipping within Germany will be done with Hermes or DHL.  The shipping costs will be announced to you and added to the price.

 

Can I choose a different wood floating frame for my picture? - Unless otherwise specified, the pictures are already framed in a wood floating frame. Should you wish a different frame (e.g. in a different color), this is of course possible (possibly for an additional charge). Feel free to write me an email, then I can give you more detailed information about your specific wishes.

 

How can I pay for the pictures? - At the moment payment by bank transfer is possible. 

 

How are the pictures packed and shipped? - It depends on the size, but the paintings are carefully packed with corner protectors, bubble wrap and cardboard. Each one is unique, so I make sure it is well protected so it arrives in perfect condition. Please see shipping details for more details on delivery.

The pictures are always shipped insured with Hermes or DHL (depending on the size of the picture). You will receive the shipment number by mail.

 

Of course, the pictures can also be picked up by appointment.

 

Do you carry out commissions? I'm not accepting any new commissions at the moment, as I'm working on a new piece. If you like my style, one of these might be right for you!

 

Can items be returned? - Items can be returned if they are damaged or incorrect. I will refund the cost of the item and the shipping cost, as long as the items are returned within 30 days, are unused, and are in their original packaging (Unless the packaging is damaged. In that case, the items, for return shipping, should be packaged, so that they will not get damaged). Make sure they are returned to me safely. Before returning items, please contact me at renate.willmer@web.de so we can discuss any problems and hopefully find a solution.

 

If the items are not damaged or defective, but you no longer want them, I will accept returns as long as you email me within 14 days of receiving the items and then return the items in their original packaging within 14 days of the date of your email. I can only provide a refund if the items are unused and undamaged when you return them. 

 

Upon receipt of the item, I will refund the price of the item (but not the shipping cost). 

 

Please note that I assume no liability for loss in transit or damage to returned goods. My recommendation for you is insured return shipping!

 

If you are entitled to a refund, I will credit the amount to the card or account you used to purchase the items.

 

Nothing will affect your legal rights.
